Ze Weekly Nuggetsketch

This week's whimsy courtesy of the fact that I start my taichi classes tomorrow. Guess I'm more excited about it than I thought.

Whozis?  陈洁敏 of course! Doobeedoo.

TAI CHI ROCKS.

That is all. (I'm into Sun style, fwiw, but I'm down a sensei and place to learn more...)

Heehee. I don't know what style I'll be learning. Here, it seems that taichi is something grannies do. XD

Didn't even know till looking it up that taichi had anything *other* than a defensive style.

Tomorrow, I shall poing along wif da ninja grannies of doom!

Tai Chi is just a slowed-down martial art, but the point is it's *still* a martial art (though I'd rely on kung-fu as far as self-protection goes :P).

The best thing about martial arts in general is the whole Zen can-always-get-more-perfecter thing. That + tai chi slowness (it's often called moving meditation) are much better for you than most people seem to think when all they see is sloooooow.

Watch out for those grannies, I bet they can kick your ass.

Lol. My sifu IS a granny! XD

Some kind of 2003 championship winning granny, apparently. >.> One of the smaller students who was helping the noobletnugget learn her very first move (2 hours to learn one move YAY! XD) was relating this in a rather awestruck tone.

Still, it seems awfully fun so far. I never knew moving so slowly could still work up a sweat! Is neato.
